Atomic M57 H13 Tool Steel Stud Kit
Barra-Proven Performance for the M57
We've taken the same high-specification H13 tool steel technology used in our 1500hp+ Ford Barra builds and applied it to the BMW M57. Developed and continuously updated, these studs offer superior strength, a refined surface finish, and improved installation ease over common aftermarket alternatives.
The material matters. Our studs are manufactured from high-quality H13 tool steel and heat-treated to maximize tensile strength while specifically mitigating brittleness. This ensures they can withstand extreme cylinder pressures without the risk of cracking under load.
The Atomic Standard
These studs are precision-engineered with a bottoming tip, specifically designed to prevent overloading the lower threads in your block. This prevents the common issue of thread deformation or stripping that can occur with poorly designed, non-bottoming fasteners.

⚠️ Engineering Note
- Torque Recommendation: We typically install at 100 ft-lbs, though these can be taken higher to extract maximum clamp load without moving to M14 studs.
- M14 Option: If you are pushing beyond typical performance builds, we also offer these in an M14 variant for the ultimate engine security. Contact Atomic.
- Installation: Ensure threads are clean and Moly paste is applied to both nut faces and stud threads for accurate clamping results. Do not lube threads that go into the block. Lube nut/washer side threads only.
