The crankshaft is the heart of your engine. A "used" crank from a wrecker or marketplace is a massive risk—often suffering from undetectable cracks, journal runout, or seal wear grooves that destroy fresh bearings. Why risk your entire build on a $100 part?

The Atomic Solution
We take factory Ford Barra cranks and process them through a rigorous reconditioning program. Every crank is inspected, measured for straightness, and checked for cracks. Depending on the Stage you select, we then apply advanced machining processes—from simple polishing and chamfering to full race balancing and stress-relieving heat treatment.

⚠️ Engineering Note
Stage 3 Sizing: Because heat treating destresses the metal, the crank can sometimes "relax" or move. This requires regrinding to get it straight again, which may result in journals becoming undersized. While rare, we may need to supply matching undersized bearings, or in extreme cases, reject the crank if it moves too much.
Balancing: Stage 1 cranks are factory balanced. Stage 2 and 3 are precision balanced, but final assembly balancing with your specific rods, pistons, and flywheel is always recommended for high-performance builds.
