Atomic Performance Products – Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 4th December 2025

At Atomic Performance Products, we engineer our components to the highest standards of precision and durability. We stand behind the quality of our workmanship and materials.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. The Atomic Limited Warranty

In addition to your rights under the ACL, Atomic Performance Products warrants to the original purchaser that our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase (the "Warranty Period").

"Defects in Material and Workmanship" refers to flaws inherent in the manufacturing process (e.g., a casting void, machining error, or metallurgical flaw) that exist at the time of sale and were missed during QC steps.

3. Conditions of Warranty

To be eligible for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

  1. Professional Installation: High-performance engine components require precise tolerances. Proof of installation by an experienced/qualified automotive machinist or engine builder is required for all internal engine components (rods, pistons, cams, girdles, etc.).

  2. Correct Application: The part must be used in the specific application for which it was listed and designed for. Any application and compatibility notes must be followed.

  3. Maintenance: The engine and components must be maintained with appropriate lubricants and service intervals suitable for high-performance or other use.

4. Exclusions (What is NOT Covered)

Given the nature of performance modifications and motorsport, this warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Tuning Errors: Failures caused by detonation, pre-ignition, lean conditions, incorrect timing, or excessive exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) as well as any other controllable outcomes. Please activate all safety features available in your ECU.

  • Improper Installation: Failure to adhere to Atomic’s specified torque settings, clearance specifications, or kitting instructions will void your warranty.

  • Support System Failure: Damage caused by the failure of ancillary systems, including but not limited to oil starvation, fuel pump failure, or cooling system failure.

  • Motorsport and Competition Use: While our parts are "Race Proven," the extreme conditions of motorsport (drag racing, circuit racing, drifting, burnouts) subject components to unpredictable stress. Failures occurring during competition events are generally considered "abnormal use" unless a clear metallurgical or component defect can be proven.

  • Modifications: Any alteration to the Atomic product (grinding, welding, drilling) voids this warranty.

Important Note on Power Ratings: Terms such as "1000HP Capable" or "Rated to 1500HP" describe the structural integrity of the component under ideal, controlled engineering conditions. They do not constitute a guarantee that the component will last for any specific duration of time at that power level, as longevity is heavily dependent on tuning and assembly.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Atomic Performance Products’ liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective Atomic part or a refund of the purchase price of that part.

  • We are not liable for consequential damages, including but not limited to:

    • Labor costs for removal or re-installation.

    • Towing, shipping, or rental car costs.

    • Damage to other engine components (e.g., if a rod fails and damages the block, we are liable to cover the rod, not the block).

    • Loss of time, revenue, or competition entry fees.

We may elect to offer your additional support at our own discretion but this is not guaranteed.

6. Claims Process

If you believe you have a faulty component, please follow this procedure:

  1. Contact Us: Email sales@atomicperformanceproducts.com with your Order Number, a description of the issue, and photos of the part.

  2. Assessment: We may require the part to be returned to us for metallurgical inspection or other analysis

    • Note: Shipping costs for returning the item are initially the responsibility of the customer. If the part is deemed defective under warranty, shipping costs will be reimbursed.

  3. Outcome:

    • If a manufacturing defect is found, we will repair, replace, or refund the item.

    • If the failure is deemed to be caused by installation error, tuning, or abuse, the part will be returned to you at your cost or discarded
