Atomic Barra VCT Delete Kit
Deleting VCT for LOCKED IN TIMING
When converting your Ford Barra DOHC engine to adjustable vernier cam gears or running a standalone ECU setup that doesn't utilize variable cam timing, the factory VCT solenoids become completely redundant. We've created a clean, simple motorsport grade solution.
You can't just unplug them. Simply disconnecting the wiring from the solenoids doesn't stop engine oil pressure from trying to circulate into the VCT mechanism. Our kit includes CNC-machined billet locking spigots that physically block the internal oil galleys, ensuring full oil pressure is diverted back to where the engine actually needs it.
The Atomic Solution
The Atomic VCT Solenoid Delete Kit is engineered to remove these solenoids cleanly and professionally. It replaces them with billet alloy internal spigots and laser-cut steel blanking plates to seal off the external ports. It is a 100% clean, bolt-in solution with zero welding or machining required.

- Complete Hardware: Supplied with all necessary high-tensile steel fasteners for a direct bolt-in installation.

Ford used two different size solenoids across the Barra lifespan. You must order the correct size to seal the head properly.
18mm VCT Delete Kit
Designed for early-model Barra engines.
- Compatible with BA engines
- Compatible with Early BF engines (Pre-May 2005)
- Verify solenoid diameter with calipers if unsure.
20mm VCT Delete Kit
Designed for late-model Barra engines.
- Compatible with Late BF engines (May 2005 onwards)
- Compatible with all FG & FGX engines
- Standard size for most late-model builds.

⚠️ Companion Parts Note
This VCT Delete Kit is designed to be paired with adjustable Vernier Cam Gears (sold separately). If you install this delete kit with standard factory cam phasers, the camshafts will not be locked in position, resulting in severe engine damage. Ensure you have the correct mechanical cam gears before installation.
