When you are building a 2000hp monster, standard rods just don't cut it. The Atomic "FatRod" is engineered for extreme duty, designed to survive 9 tons of combustion pressure 60 times every second. We built the FatRod to be the last rod you will ever need. Rated for 1500–2000+hp, it features our signature H-beam design for superior strength-to-mass ratio and comes standard with CA625 High-Tensile Bolts. Trusted in engines running over 1130RWKW, we have recorded zero failures since its release in 2004.

2. Motorsport-Grade Oiling

Strength is nothing without reliability. We integrated advanced oiling features usually only achieved with separate oil squirters.

• Pressure-Fed Pin Oiling: A dedicated channel forces pressurized oil directly from the big end bearing, up through the rod and into the wrist pin bushing, significantly extending pin life under high load and RPM.
• Piston Crown Cooling: Built-in oil squirters spread oil out across the underside of the piston crown, pulling heat out of the combustion chamber to help resist detonation and thermal stress.
• Thermal Management: Keeps the rod and piston cool, preventing heat-related fatigue failure during extended high-power runs.
