Most forged pistons force you to compromise: you get strength, but you get noise. Loose cold clearances and "piston slap" are often accepted as the price of performance. The Atomic ICON Forged Piston changes that equation. It offers the strength required for 1000hp builds while maintaining the quiet, stable operation you expect from a street car.

It's all in the "Secret Geometry". We applied 20 years of Barra expertise to redesign the crown and skirt edge profile of these pistons. By spreading the weight more evenly across the piston structure and slightly offsetting the wrist pin, we eliminated the rocking motion that causes noise. The result? A forged engine that sounds like factory, even on cold starts.
The Atomic Solution
Manufactured by ICON (United Pistons) to our exacting specifications, these pistons are ~100g lighter than most competitors, improving engine response and reducing stress on connecting rods. With deep valve reliefs to accommodate high-lift cams and a robust ring land design, they are the perfect "do-it-all" piston for high-performance street and track engines.

⚠️ Engineering Note
Power Limits: While the dish top piston structure can withstand huge loads, we recommend capping these at 1000hp to maintain a safe factory-like service life. For 1000hp+ competition builds, please upgrade to our Cosworth F1 Series.
Machining: Requires block boring and honing to specific clearance. Please consult the supplied specification sheet for exact piston-to-wall clearance.
Balancing: As with all rotating assembly upgrades, balancing the complete assembly (crank, rods, pistons, flywheel/flexplate, balancer) is highly recommended.
