This pump features precision-cut billet steel gears, a gas-nitrided CRMO backing plate, and a cast steel housing that expands significantly less than OEM or billet aluminium bodies — keeping oil pressure consistent across the temperature range, even under race conditions.
With a target relief pressure of ~80psi, this pump provides enough pressure and volume to support high-horsepower, VCT-equipped builds without triggering ECU faults or causing cam control issues — a known issue with over-pressured systems.
